Well the Shopsmith and you folks have taught me alot and here is the proof. I know I can do better but for I now feel pretty good about my first piece of furniture. And best of all SHMBO has given approval and has it in the living room. I want to really thank all of you for making this an enjoyable hobby.
Very nice work.......best advertisement Shopsmith could have.

Great job, Jim!
Say, are those false drawers and doors or very shallow compartments or what?

Very Good. Now all you have to do is decide on the next project and lay in supplies. Good Luck.

Tim and all,
They are false drawers. This project was from plans to build a tool box from one of the magazines. SHMBO saw the carcas and asked if I could make it into a coffee table I said yes so the modifications began. After making it longer she saw it again and asked if it could be one open chest instead of the drawers so the false front came to be. It has dado's, pocket screws, rabbits, champers, and hand chiseling. I had to use my SS in tablesaw mode, drill press mode, and router mode. There are some real bad oops on it as I learned but you can't see them. I do see them everytime I look at it though.
Dusty,
The next job is interior doors and base and casing molding thoughout the whole hose. I just completed the anti-gravity jig and am working on the sled. The flip-up fence stop is on back-order, but I did get the t-track parts so I'm good to go. I can't wait to get to work to view the new Sawdust session it looks real interesting.

Great project. Thank you for sharing. Truly something to be proud of, and I'm sure the family will cherish it.
