Shopsmith just sent out a new email special which included the Table Storage System (555941) and the very neat Extension Table Bracket system (555997). Both at very healthy discounts of about 40% or so. I couldn't resist so I ordered one of each asap.
I did notice a discouraging note on my two previous orders. One placed 10 days ago - not arrived yet at all (belt sander belts + belt sander dust chute upgrade) and the other (from the previous email special for dustcovers + upgraded bearings for the bandsaw) a bit after that. Today I received part of the 2nd order - one dust cover with all the rest back ordered.
Two disturbing things - all the back ordered or late parts plus the fact that my one $15 dust cover cost me $16 in shipping, handling and tax. Ouch.
Plus my still backordered fence mounted feather board. About ready to cancel that order and make one.
So, with the economy (and Shopsmith) doing so poorly, lets cross our fingers. And, if you have something you think you need or want, get it ordered now! I expect more specials and I expect to dig down and try to buy what I think I should get now - while the stuff is still there. At a minimum, we'll be supporting the company.
