One of the more interesting features of the PRO version of 7.x is the ability to make Dynamic Components... The Free version can USE DC's but only the PRO can CREATE them if I'm reading correctly. For those that haven't read up on it yet, imagine the ability to take a staircase component, and scale it up, not creating the same number of steps with a larger riser and tread, but the same size riser and tread, but a greater number of steps to fill the distance. Now that's cool! Creating articulated models, where you can just click on a door or lid of a box and it opens/closes.

Dynamic Components had me all excited but as we know it will cost you to get that. I missed that when I first read the announcement and thought I get to check it out... oh well. Not having to do trace overs is a big improvement and that alone was worth the upgrade. Still have a few more things I want to check out in the upcoming days.
