It's like thinking you got a super deal on a brand new car! You think you have landed the best deal in town and taken the dealership for a real ride..... Only to pick up the paper a week later and find you could have done better! Guess ya gotta bite the bullet...
If only my wife knew how much money i've got tied up in Shopsmith tools and accessories let alone Sears Craftsman stuff

I'm watching ebay like a mad man also. Bought a SS strip sander, BS blades, Power station, and a power stand. Darn Buy it Now option is dangerous for me but good for the seller.. Haven't been stuck yet... Looking for the SS osolating sander thingie now.

I'm getting too old for this compulsive buying stuff.... My son someday will appreciate it however

Happy Thanks Giving All

If you find what you ordered comes on sale within a few days of ordering, you can usually call SS and ask them to credit your order before it leaves the factory. Usually, they catch it anyway and find you received the discount when you read the receipt packed with your order.

A few days, maybe a week or two and they will usually honor the discount if you give them a call. Don't count on it if its been a month or longer though.

Yep, You are right!... Called SS this morning to discuss the sale prices vs the price "I" paid when orderd. Almost every item on my order was adjusted to the sale price. HOWEVER>>>> darn it. over the weekend I saw other items on sale I would want sooner or later so... When I called SS, I just had them to add to my order... Whew.... another 300.00..

Oh well, it pleasures "me"... BTW, check out the online holiday catalog.. alamost everything on sale, including service items.

I don't dare do that. I busted my 2008 budget sometime about August.

Dusty,
So sorry about the budget. I have the same issue here. And when I showed SHMBO the catalog I got this look like if I do I will be sleeping in the shop.

If all I had to do was sleep in the shop my shop would be full of new equipment. Ya, I'd try sleeping in the camper first but if that didn't work I could get comfortable in the shop. Remembering that I have in the low desert, it doesn't get all that cold here.

It would just be my luck...global weather patterns would shift.:(
