If you have been waiting for the sale of sales this might be it. The $839 package is now just $600, it includes the router table... and with the parts sale here at shopsmith for the rails it looks like a good deal.

Well you decide, I already did some time ago... and if you want details do a search on jointech here.

do you have a pointer for the rails on sale?

I can find the ones in the parts sale as table parts but not other lengths.

front rail 522371 Sale: $42.85
rear rail 518490 Sale: $44.29

I think I recall buying a couple of other parts when I did this and I think I recall doing a post about what was needed however I can't find it????? Anyone remember back that far? Or happen to remember what is needed?

Hi,

I found a reference to the other parts required in this thread:
http://www.shopsmith.net/forums/showthread.htm?t=1047&highlight=jointech

However I think a better list was also posted, maybe it was posted else where???

Okay, I need help from any of you who have the Jointech system.

I need to have some idea of what you use it for that can not be done on a standard Mark V configuration. I would like to buy one of these setups but the financial committee is going to demand justification.

Photographs of projects (complete or in progress) would really help my presentation.

I know all of the high points like accuracy and repeatability but what else.

Also, why a Jointech rather than an Incra (except that Incra is not on sale).

Dusty, I notice that the Incra is on sale during the Holiday Shopsmith sale.

Didn't mean to thread-jack but I had noticed the sale.

Hi Dusty,

We jointech owners have just had a meeting and decided that we don't want you to have one of these system. I was assigned the task of tell you the bad news.

You see people can have just so much fun woodworking and purchasing tools in a year, and with all the negative news us owners have decided to keep all the fun that is left this year. We just have to let those that don't have the system take the brunt of the suffering. We can't control the price of the system but what we can do is limit what help we offer in terms of backup when facing SHMBO. I'm afraid that our decission is final but you can apply again for ownership next year. Now I have to get back to the meeting, I think we are about to vote on the new secret handshake.
