With all of the references to the wife's influence regarding tools, $, etc., Thought this might give you a knowing smile.
Just can't resist passing along this copy from my favorite cartoon (Pickles) in the daily paper. It is really funny in our house! No need for descriptions of the cartoon panels. just the dialog is funny enough.
There are two characters: Earl and Opal.
Earl: "MMPHT"
Opal: " How on earth could you mistake a glue stick for a tube of lip balm, Earl?"
"Well, this is just great! I can hardly ever get you to talk to me, and now you've glued your mouth shut."
"On the other hand, I can hardly ever get you to listen to me either. so...."
"Sit down and get comfortable, I've got a lot to talk about."
