What tools are required to disassemble and reassemble ie, Is a bearing press or puller required? What are the part numbers of the bearings?

The two piece quill shaft appears to be the first implentation of the 2 bearing quill from Shopsmith. They soon went to a solid shaft due to problems with the 2 piece shaft. I have only found one 2-piece quill shaft in a dozen 2 bearing quills where I replaced the bearings.

If anyone has some picture or is willing to take some pictures of the two bearing quill in it redesigned state they would fit right in here....

If your will to take one I'd go for something like the third one in the first post... I think that makes it clear enough.

Hi,

With regard to these excellent photos, there is shown a fairly flimsy washer that looks like what I've obtained & saved in my latest teardown. Unfortunately I don't know exactly where the flimsy washer goes. Is it between the quill-bearing and the silver-colored collar piece?
