Hi Ed,

I tried to send a PM to you, but you have disabled that function, along with the e-mail function. I enjoy your input, and I take the time to read your links. I am sure that most members here do so.
I second that also! There is so much positive in his contributions to this forum, that I hope he doesn't let this nonsense get to him. We are ALL individuals as you have already pointed out AND we come from different backgrounds, experience and life experiences. I hope he has not decided to become a Hermit!

One thing about curmudgeons(myself included) is we seem to have a low tolerance of other curmudgeons! That is where WE get into trouble! We just cannot let things alone when we think another is slightly off track. If the 'other' one gets defensive, then problems begin and each one thinks the other has an Attitude. They are BOTH probably right, but the only way to 'correct' those attitudes is to let the other one know that IS your opinion. Hopefully the 'other' one does some self examination and correctly sees the true situation. I have encountered criticism on this forum and usually there is more correctness to that 'opinion' than not. Believe it or not I have learned to to things differently in my short tenure.

I just get frustrated with folks who get testy for no good reason!:)

Yup, the links are disabled. Which just goes to show - you can always learn something new. I didn't know that one could isolate ones self in that manner.

I stumbled across this thread that may have some information that is relative to this conversation. It also is more than a year old.

You DID point 'over there someplace'. Somewhere the fact that your referral to a response by Nick was PAST TENSE got lost/covered up/over looked/unrecognized/forgotten/(gasp)unread!:) by later 'viewers'.

I also went and looked, as soon as the info was provided and could not find it. Google searching was no help. There is so much info built up now in this forum that it is hard to find anything. If you do a search, you get a lot of results and you better be prepared to spend a lot of time reading those results to find what you are looking for.

I've been around this forum for a while, but I don't seem to have the correct type of brain to remember where things are. I'm personally very grateful that we have members in here who can find the exact location!

What are you needing to know? I am still around. I bought leather from Lee Valley 1" x 42" and then I'm pretty sure I got one from Klingspor. I still have the big wheels as well.Mike T.
