Wouldn't you know it? I order some items that are on sale and include a few that are not figuring that at least some would end up back ordered. That way, I can spread the cost over a credit card cycle or two. And, again, Shopsmith sent me everything within four days of my order. The last time was when the OPR was on sale (yep, got it in four days). I can't win.:D

PS: I know about, and can appreciate, the back order scenarios that have been documented in the Forum. I just wanted to pass on a small bit of good news, and maybe good luck!

Yeah Dick, ol' Murphy will getcha every time... I just ordered the Strip Sander SPT from one of their latest e-mail specials. They told me it was "built-upon-request". Wonder how long it will take to get that one...

What a silly business. I wish they would tell us "will be built to order". I'd still buy.

It won't take long. I received my strip sander earlier this week.

ShopSmith being so efficient makes me wonder if we should just stop placing orders with them.;)

Ordered my Strip Sander on December 26th. The sticker says it was built on Feb 6th. I rec'd it on Feb 16th.
In a phone call around the 1st of Feb. they told me they were waiting on parts. Must have gotten them the next day!
BTW I didn't think that was a bad wait - one month is you subtract the holidays.
Now waiting on a chisel sharpening attachment that was just ordered last week.

I ordered one of those at the same time I ordered my strip sander. The web site SAID they were in stock.
