Note: Original equipment bearings from Shopsmith all have standard or normal radial clearance. Most power tool bearing specifications fall into the standard range. If a bearing part number does not identify a radial clearance number it is normally considered to be a standard clearance.

Industry standard numbers (Can be cross referenced to most bearing manufacturer parts by your bearing supply house)
Drive Sheave Assembly (Gilmar & Poly-V): 6205 ZZ (2 Required)
Quill - Single Bearing (Gilmar & Poly-V): 6202 ZZ 5/8"Quill - Double Bearing (Poly-V): 6002 ZZ and 6003 ZZ
Motors:
AO Smith 3/4: 6203 ZZ (2 Required)
GE 3/4: 6203 ZZ (2 Required)
Franklin 3/4: 6203 ZZ (2 Required) Note: The control/idler shaft bearing is >>>> Water pump shaft...shaft and bearing are one and is not repairable by the average joe. Anyone found an aftermarket replacement? Also, the small bearing on the speed control sheave is pretty much not repairable as near as I can tell.

Fafnir Numbers (considered by some to be the cadilac of bearings):
Drive Sheave Assembly (Gilmar & Poly-V): 205KDD (2 Required)
Quill - Single Bearing (Gilmar & Poly-V): 202KDD5
Motors:
AO Smith 3/4: 203KDD (2 Required)
GE 3/4: 203KDD (2 Required) SKF Numbers:
Drive Sheave Assembly (Gilmar & Poly-V): 6205 2Z (2 Required)
Quill - Single Bearing (Gilmar & Poly-V): 6202-10 2Z
Motors:
AO Smith 3/4: 6203 2Z (2 Required)
GE 3/4 : 6203 2Z (2 Required) If you know of any others, or see a correction that is needed, please add them to this thread.

Thanks for starting the thread, I was thinking that is what we should do as it will be a lot easier to find this way.

Since I just happen to be working on a 10er I will post what I have found so far, taken from post at ssug.org which was taken from post at the 10er yahoo group (thanks to the posters!).

Shopsmith 10ER

--Spindle--
Sizes:
ID .6299 (16mm)
OD 1.378 (35mm)
W .5669 (14.4mm)
Original felt shielded Farnil 202KLL3
Subs:
BCA 88016
FAG 501675, 532742 8016KK, 88016
SKF 88016, G88016
NEW DEP 88016, C88016
Fafnir 202KDD6 (5/8" ID x 3/32" thick bushing is needed with this bearing to position the front bearing collar correctly).
Note: orginal 10er bearings are C1 grade precision bearings. Other than Farnir 202KLL3 and 205KLL2 make sure to ask for C1 precision especially for the spindle.

--Pulley/Drive Sleeve--
Sizes:
ID .9843 (25mm)
OD 2.0472 (52mm)
W .5906 (15mm)
Original felt shielded Farnir 205KLL2
subs
double shielded Fafnir 205KDD
SKF 6205ZZ 6205-2Z
(standard bearing)

Now it would be nice to find a place to buy them... Suggestions on that?

Anyone have ID measurements for the motor bearings (or for that matter, full info similar to above?)

Most of the motor bearings are:

* Item: Double Shielded Ball Bearings 6203ZZ
* 6203ZZ Size: 17mm x 40mm x 12mm
* Type: Deep groove 6203ZZ bearings
* 6203ZZ Material: Chrome Steel
* 6203ZZ Closures: 2 Metal Shields 6203Z
* 6203ZZ Lubrication: Self Lubricated (Grease)
* Quantity: Pack of 2 Bearings 6203ZZ
* Equal: 6203-2Z

Post your part number and I'll get the size if I can find it.

What is the motor out of? Is it for a 10ER? What is the brand, model, HP, and date of manufacture. Your part number matches the bearing dimensions I just posted. What you posted are C3 radial clearance (electric motor grade) bearings with 2 rubber seals. I've replaced the bearings on 6 Mark 5 motors and all had metal shields (ZZ) originally installed rather that the rubber shields (2RS). I'm not saying that 2RS is bad, just that I seldom find rubber shields on bearings in the Shopsmith headstocks I've worked on. Maybe Bill Mayo could shed some light on what he usually finds in a headstock when he tears one down.
