Hello all! Just went out to do a bit of finish sanding on my belt sander and as soon as I turned it on the tension knob released and won't stay tensioned. Any ideas on what I should do, replace , look at etc...
Thanks in advance

HOW are you TRYING to 'reset' it? Please describe in detail.:)

I simply turn the tension knob counter clockwise I believe. To release the tension I depress the button/lever built into the tension knob.

Have you tried to reset the tension as directed in the manual? This is from memory, release all tension and then turn the tensioning knob 4 turns counterclockwise.

This is the same as I remember but I recall it being you went until the catch engages on the forth turn so it may or not be a full four turns depending on where you start. You also need to loosen it from catch to catch until it no longer turns on its own.

I think Nick had posted a new alignment and adjustment section but it was pulled for some reason or other. I may have access to that if I looked hard enough... I know I saved it but not sure where. I'm sure that would cover it... anyone know where theirs is?
