When viewing the forums "New Posts" by selecting that option on the red navigation bar toward the top of the page, they will initially appear bolded since they haven't been read by me before. After I read them, they will appear unbolded indicating that I have been there before. I am sure this works for everyone else since that is the way it is supposed to work. The computer "cookie" knows you've already been there.

Here is the problem I am seeing. If I read all of the "New Posts" they will all appear unbolded but then when I CLOSE MY BROWSER when come back in, all the previously read post appear BOLDED again, as if I haven't read them.

Does anyone else have this issue?

YEP, that happens to me with Firefox 3.0.8. I figure it's this site problem. My spell check doesn't hold either, from one day to the next here..

When you get back to the main forum page, click on the "mark forums read" and you should not have this problem. Works for me.

Are you logging out of the forum before closing the browser, or closing the browser while still being logged in?

Just hard closing. (Hitting the red X). Naturally based on your question, I am going to try officially logging out.

I always Log Out and I've never had this problem. So I just conducted my own test, didn't log out and just closed the browser. When I logged back in, all the threads were marked as new again, even though there were no new messages in them.
