Just the usual. None of the sanding stuff from the email special is in stock. Neither are the two three-spoke quill handles(once I used a 3 spoker, I had to have for both sides of both Mark V's-yet another Shopsmith exclusive)-my card has been charged, but these remain as "not yet shipped" as are the sanding items- Linda was her usual sweet self; I felt worse for her than I do for us. I was going to order a Sandflee, but 5-8 weeks out and would be $550 charged against my card-I have a "good sport" limit. Mike T.

They run the card but do not charge the account until the item hits shipping. If they ship a partial, the account is charged total shipping costs. When the balance of the order is shipped there will be no additional shipping charges.

The only time some of my funds were used prior to a shipment was my fault. I wanted a Strip Sander, and my sweetie told me to get one. She asked if I had ordered it yet. Being smart:rolleyes: , I said, no! I am going to wait for Christmas and see if I get a gift card.
Well, she gave me a $200 gift card for Christmas. So I called SS and ordered the sander on the 26th, using both the gift card and my credit card for the purchase. Well, both cards came out of the same pocket, I wasn't thinking:mad: !!!!
Of course the Gift card was cashed right away and the rest of the purchase was charged to my card in Feb. when shipped!
MORALS:
1) If you want SS to take from your funds immediately upon order, buy a gift card for the amount of the purchase.
2) If you'd rather wait until shipping, use a credit card.
3) If you want to spread out the purchase charges, (some now = some later) use both a gift card and a credit card.
P.S. I think SS might still has the 10% discount on the purchase of gift cards.

Then it is more likely that someone missed updating the shipping status. In the past, I had the same experience as the rest of you.mike

It was just a delay between charging the card and changing shipping status. The 3 spoke quill handles arrived today. The only place it may not be practical is during tablesaw use-clearance-I'll keep the single handle around.mt
