Charles - Can you view ANY Flash? Can you view this ShopSmith video (http://www.youtube.com/user/ShopsmithHandsOnline?blend=2&ob=1) that is posted on you tube?
This is an intermittent post during my process of removing and re-installing the Adobe plug-ins.

At first I could view all of the SS Videos on U-Tube. After un-installing all Adobe programs. I could still view them. I then ran search and found some Adobe things still residing on my hard drive - even though I had used the Microsoft un-install program. Found a "Flash un-install program" on one of the Adobe web sites and downloaded - saved- and used that. That program helped, but there is still several residual files. There is a Flash folder. It is "KB923789" (set up information). There are also two flash configuration devices. All of the other files are related to the un-install program.

That Adobe Flash player is a bugger to get rid of!

Hopefully all important files are now gone. I can no longer at this time) view any of the U-Tube Shopsmith videos That situation should be resolved soon.

Oh Yeah- Also removed all Java programs - will re-install them soon.

TA DA!! Re-installed the programs again today and everything works!!!

I most certainly thank all of you for your help solving this issue!
Thank you!!

The key to me was - even through my un-installs I was still able to view the U-Tube videos. It wasn't until I found, and used the Adobe Flash un-install program from the web, that I could no longer view the U-Tube videos. As soon as I could no longer see these, I had the feeling that all residual (video viewing) files had been removed and this was the right track.

Thanks again!

As an added note: My computer is now better off from all the grief it gave me. Things are now acting a fast as they once were. I don't know if removing Java programs had any thing to do with it, or not. What I do know is Flash player is a bugger to uninstall completely!

Glad to see that you have recovered your ability to view the Sawdust Sessions.

Yes, some applications are very hard to get rid of. AOL is one fine example that I have tried to get rid of.

One question: did you permanently uninstall JAVA? Was its' only function to enable the chat room?

Sorry, I thought I had said Java was going to be re-installed.

Yes, both the new versions of Java and Adobe are now installed.

Also just in case anyone else has a similar issue, here is a site where you can get the Adobe un-install program. http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14157&sliceId=1

It removes files that the Windows XP Un-install program won't.
