I started a new thread in order to post these pictures. I felt them easier to locate this way. You can thank my btide of nearly 39 years for these. Jan is paranoid I will injure myself before I heal. Okay the truth is she is the truly thoughtful partner in our marriage.

Regarding the handles you put on - do you like the location you put them on or would you put them on the other sides if you could do it again?

Look around the edges of the 'shiney' top and make sure that any sharp burrs or whatever are filed down. This was the subject of an earlier thread.:eek:
We wouldn't want your 'bride' being right about you getting yourself hurt!:D

The handles at least from my point of view are perfectly located as they allow me to approach either the Shopsmith or the storage stand easily and with the tool safely balanced. The location for the first time creates a safe feeling when carrying or mounting. I apologize for taking so long to respond to this question. It took several days after surgery until I remembered to do so. fjimp
