It may be of interest to some, the manufacturer of Vise-Grips is being moved to China. This is the reason the plant is closing.

This is what should upset people not the clowning around they did yeasterday. Further generations will think it's a myth that skilled people actually built things in this country.

They certainly made a quality product. This trend has got to stop somewhere. I will not go into any long rant about this subject so all I will say is:mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!----I wanted to put more angry faces in my post but I got a message to limit them to 4 .-------Dave

Let's see what happens in a couple years after Rubbermaid has to deal with the quality control problems......Happened to another company and they brought the production back here.....just can't remember who it was.....

I just discovered this which reports that Vise-Grip moved to China in 2008.

I was recently looking at the tools at Lowes looking for what was still made here.
The Vise-Grips in stock were still US made.
Sad that an icon of US tools is gone.
Always said if you couldn't fix it with Vice-Grips and duct tape it was beyond repair.
