Good Morning to all who will be coming to the Academy classes on the West Coast. I will be looking forward to meeting all of you as I will be your instructor. My name is Rick Davis and I have been involved in woodworking of one capacity or another for 48 years. I'm sure you will find the classes both fun and informative. Happy Trails Fellow Woodworkers! Rick

Hi Rick,
It's good to see SS people visiting the site. Looking forward to meeting you in April. Hey! That's only 10 days from now!:D Are there any tips before classes start? I already figure to bring paper and pen; is there anything else that you can suggest?

I'm set up for my first traveling academy class in Everett, Wa. next Wednesday (28th). From these comments, it sounds like I should get my $ worth and learn a lot. I am really looking forward to it and more in the future. Luckily for me I have about a 1 mile round trip.

It was very good to be able to take all three classes with Rick Davis as the instructor. My wife and I got to meet some very nice people, including m1garand (Ben) and his wife. I feel that we all learned a lot and that Rick is full of it, information that is;) . He is very good and patient!! Rick is able to explain things in a way that even the wives that were drug along for the ride could understand. I have been working with wood for many years, and Rick was able to teach me plenty.
