I have ground off the tip of a few screws in my time but my screw stretcher broke years ago. :D
I have been known to put in extra fasteners when I would have liked to have had some that were a little longer.
Methinks using MORE screws that are too short is perhaps often wishful thinking!:rolleyes:
How's THAT for an absolute hard fast statement?:D
