While digging through a box of old "stuff" I came across these two Shopsmith stones.
I've NEVER owned a Shopsmith & I have NO idea where or when I came into possession of these. But what is really interesting (at least to me) is the "Carbo - ARK".
Was Shopsmith based out of Carbo at one time?
{edit - still having a tough time with the pictures - that is getting them to show!}

Hi,
They use to give these away with orders for a while. The second part of the question can be found here:

That certainly clears up the "Carbo - ARK".
Thanks!
Now to rack my brain to try to figure, "Just where did I get those?".
Usually the LOML has that memory for me (she knows my past better than I do), but in this case I'm on my own.

{edit - still having a tough time with the pictures - that is getting them to show!}I am confused about your signature line and your (highlighted) statement. They seem to be contradictory. :confused:

Tim,
It is easy...
Brain not fully attached today! :o
Not sure what I thought I was typing, but the truth is I've not had a Shopsmith for very long (~3 months), and that box of "stuff" has been with me for many a long day.
I have no memory of every seeing those stones and was very shocked to see "Shopsmith" imprinted on them.
Obviously the shock had not worn off yet. :)

If it is a 2004 50th anniversary model, then it is a Mark V.:)

Okay get a guy when he's down! :D
Now maybe just maybe there is one out there that *may* not know that. I do know that when I was researching before buying, it was quite confusing to me. But, then I'm not the sharpest pencil in the shop apron.
