I use speed dial on 'firefox. I have a shortcut set up on speed dial for several SS sights.

The newer version of internet explorer has favorite tabs, so shopsmith forum is always visible to me as a tab. I just click on it and it opens.

I use google - so, go to favorites then go to the file of "Wood Shop Stuff, then under that heading, "Shopsmith Stuff" - then below that, find the forum and click on the arrow. Up comes a new tab withe the Forum.
How can I make a new file on favorites? I usually just open up the forum and then click on "add to favorites".

Well it's not actually a file that you are making but a folder. When you click add to favorites and the dialog box pops up usually right next to the word favorites there is a button that says new folder, click on that and name it then you can start saving websites in that category in the folder. At least that is how it is in Internet Explorer.

I never could get the icon loaded onto either my desktop or laptops. So I just added it to my favorites list.

The Icon thing hasn't worked for nearly a year for adding to the desktop. I know first hand after turning the air blue while setting up two new computers earlier this year.:D I actually prefer having my logged in link saved in my favorites. Truly a slick and easy way to save and enter the discussion.:) fjimp
