To mount the fence, I took advantage of the holes already in the table. Lined up the right end of the fence bar close to the right side of the table and marked the bar for drilling. Mount the bar and then mark the bar for the miter slot. Remove any material in the bar that interferes with the miter bar travel over the fence bar. Once you adjust the fence for drift, it is much easier and quicker (IMO) to set than the miter gauge for resawing.

Bummer,
My bandsaw is an older model I guess. It's a Magna bandsaw and the only theaded holes under the table are two used to hold a strap across the blade insertion slot. Unless those are the one you are talking about. Is this true? I noticed in you pic that it seems you would have to remove the fence rail to change the blade???

Those are the holes and you do have to remove the fence bar to change the blade.

Sweet I just completed the retrofit of my old 500 fence onto my cast iron bandsaw fence it worked just like you said. Thank you so much for the help.
