This reminds me of an acquaintance who had a really weird userid/email address. I asked him why such a strange name. He replied, 'To remain incognito on the internet'.
To which I replied, WHAT are you DOING on the internet?:D
His look was priceless. I did NOT ask again!;)

I haven't been on in awhile since i was getting my classroom cleaned up for the summer. "Free at last, free at last! Thank God Almighty I'm free at last!!":D (at least until August 15th!):(

You better believe it!! That's why I like to stick around and listen to the silence that ensues when people have left the building! Now I can get those projects done like power washing the house, working on my wife's microwave cart, plus all of those other things I have not had time to do while teaching and not having to worry about cramming everything in on the weekend.

I have a brother who taught school for 34 years. He always said the teachers were just as glad, if not more, when any and all school vacations came along.

And I'll bet the longer he was in teaching, the more he appreciated them! I know I do (and that includes "snow days"!
