First, is there someplace I can look up the meanings of the various icons in the far left-hand column of the message lists? I see several different icons, but have no idea what any of them mean.

Second, is there a way to mark a thread as having been read without opening it up? I don't have time to read every message, so I pick the threads that seem interesting. I would like to easily mark the ones I skip so they stop showing up in the New Posts list.

Thanks!

Hi Earl! Go to the main page of a major topic. (eg: Beginning Woodworking, Community....) and scroll to the bottom of that page. You will find explanations of the most icons. For other icons, these can be found at the bottom of the posting space.

If you don't want to notice unread posts - go to the "Shopsmith Forums" page and scroll down to the lower red line. Click on "Mark Forums Read"

1. Click on FAQ at the top of the page and read all about it.
2. "Mark Forums Read" is under Quick Links at the top of the page also.

I use the "FORUM TOOLS" , to mark each as read. When I'm done with them.

Okay, I must be blind - where do I find "FORUM TOOLS"?

Forum Tools, Hmm, they must be just like my hand tools. They are wherever you might find them.

It's in the red bar, just above the date and time of posts for each forum.
