Today I placed my order for replacement parts. I ordered a new speed control assembly, control sheave, drive belt, and some hardware it was missing. I also had time to perform a full inventory of my purchase. Here is what my ~$500 investment got me:

1979 SS Mark V - original table and fence, poly v-belt
Original manuals & receipts
1 copy of PTWFE

Jointer w/ extra knives
Band saw - w/ separate mount & motor (not SS-made) band saw needs some TLC
Jig saw w/ extra blades
2 power couplers
Outfeed table
Some dust collection parts
2 saw blades w/ arbors
Miter gauge, fence straddler, featherboard, stop rod
Table inserts (std, dado, drum)
SS dado blades
Craftsman shaper set
Drill chuck w/ 2 keys
Router bit chuck & SS router bits (1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 9/16")
Chuck/adaptor(?) - from SS spindle to 1/4"
Sanding wheels, polishing wheel
Sanding disc
Sanding drum
Shaper fence (missing 1 adjustment knob)
Cut off wheel w/ arbor
2 grinding wheels w/ arbors & extra wheel
Lathe tailstock, tool rest (w/ extra, curved tool rest - pic attached), assorted dead centers
8 lathe chisels
and 1 small table with a miter slot that I cannot identify. pic attached.

Does it seem like I am missing anything critical? I feel like I got a pretty good deal for what I paid. Sorry for the long post...

Hi,

The small table is a Front Table Extension (505626) it gives you 7" more space by attaching to the front of the main table.

It is an INFEED table. Formally called (or named) " MARK V 500 Front Table Extension" http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/itemfind.htm?item=505626&Submit=Find+Item

555306 is for outfeed support on a 500.

Thanks for the help on that extension table. It looks like it gives you more room for using the miter gauge on wider pieces. That is something I could use on my 10" Craftsman band saw, which I guess I will be using for longer than I hoped... I placed my parts order over the weekend and called for parts availability today. The speed control assy and control sheave assy are both on backorder :(
