After a long search on the availability of SS bandsaw tire brushes, I decided to try my own hand at this. I tried the toothbrush method but with all the toothbrushes these days I found the handles were way too small. As you can see in the attached photos I ended up using a three and a half inch angle brace with a nylon bristle cleaning brush attached. I purchased these items at the local ACE Hardware Store. I cut the angle brace approximately an inch shorter (the side mounted toward the saw housing) and I cut the handle off of the nylon brush leaving just the brush head. To attach the brush head to the angle brace I drilled a small hole through each end of the nylon brush head and one end of the angle brace. Through these holes I threaded a thin stainless steel wire and on the back side of the brace I just twisted it up tight. On the bandsaw housing I aligned the braces with the reinforcing ribs using them as a guide. I bolted these on with two 1/4 inch bolts using nylock nuts. As you can see in the attached photos the brushes lined up really good on the tires, actually overlapping each end of the tire about 1/4 inch. There does not seem to be excess pressure on the rotating tires. Hope this helps others that might be interested in trying this method. Also attached is a picture of my power cord holder which was made from scrap wood.
