Next Friday and Saturday, 4/20 & 21, Shopsmith is having their annual clearance sale. I was there last year and can tell you that it's really worthwhile attending. For example: I purchased four red Shopsmith tool chests for $85 each, an accessory tool stand for less than $100, and a new bandsaw cover for only $2 ( the old style without the window ). As I recall they had 4 or 5 reconditioned machines, MK V 505's if I remember correctly, and they were selling them for about $2000 apiece. Demo combination carbide saw blades were $20, lotsa parts & on and on.........It was if I was in the candy store once again!
I found out about this sale from their customer service rep Dave, while placing a small parts order today. I asked Dave, "I'm on the email list - why wasn't I informed? Dave said, " We figure some of you guys are too far away so we only inform local people".
The weather forcast looks good so I'm planning to head up I 75, hope to see some of you there.
