J.P. and Others - Geez! Just like Bob said! Yesterday morning, I saw the revised Engler revised Woodworking Wisdom Book for sale on the site posted by Bob. Maybe they sold out quickly! Last evening it was gone and I can't find it anywhere. If I find the book, I'll post it here. Everyone should have one!

FOUND!!!!
Just Googled; "Woodworking Wisdom revised by Nick Engler" and found several references to the same site Bob showed us. Of course there is no luck there!
Then clicked on this site http://www.shopwiki.com/BOOK%3A+Nick+Engler%27s+Woodworking+Wisdom+Revised
THERE IT IS!!!
The new book has a green cover with a new photo of Nick. The older book (with a photo of a younger Nick) has a red cover. That's the one I have.
I know nothing about the site and the quality of folks presenting it.
This is my first posting, although I have been following this forum with all the amazing knowledge, experience and help provided by its members to SS owners for a while now.
Iclark got me curious, so I called Popular Woodworking and was told it was out of print. However, they supplied me with 3 sites to search for the book. The first site, www.bookbinder.com, did not have it, but the site they referred me to...[url]www.biggerbooks.com, did. There, it is listed for sale at $22.92. For those that are interested, except for this revised edition, most of Nick's books can be found at amazon.com.

I may have explained this once before on this Forum, but the green-cover "Woodworking Wisdom" from Popular Woodworking was cancelled when a former publisher, Reader's Digest Books, objected -- even though they hadn't actively marketed the book since they bought the marketing rights from Rodale and by agreement, the rights had reverted to me. However, Reader's Digest has more lawyers than God so PopWood retreated. Why the ad is still up on the PopWood web site is beyond me. Maybe they left it up just to annoy RD. We were all pretty pissed.
Fortunately, my contract with Rodale was drawn up in the days when the Internet was still a "Geeks only" clubhouse and makes no mention of digital media rights. I am slowly updating and expanding the information in "Woodworking Wisdom" and publishing it in the "KnowHow" section of www.worshopcompanion.com. It will take me a few years, but eventually it will all be there free of charge. It is my fondest hope that that will really annoy RD.
With all good wishes,
Nick
