Hey everyone. Let me apologize. It has been a while since I have visited the site. I am getting back into the shop now that the hot weather is finally easing up down here. I haven't cut more than three pieces of wood all summer. I miss it. I spent two nights in the shop last week, straightening things up, putting stuff away that I was just dropping off on the benchtops and the floor all summer. Now I think I am ready to go.
My question for anyone that can help...if I want to set up a website to sell things on the internet, what is the easiest way to go about it? I think I have seen a couple of members that have sites where they sell things they have built.

I can't help BUT I'd be interesting in hearing about your site when you get it up.

Thanks Tom. But I am actually looking for a place to build a site of my own with my own products or where I can sell products as an affiliate.

Godaddy.com is a hosting site. You can register and host a domain and build your own site or use their canned products. Inexpensive. There are other similar sites on the web.

There are a lot of free web hosting with and without ads. Just Google free web hosting. Some have templates, and some let you build your own using Dream Weaver.:) If you do not want free, just Google web hosting. I use the free ones just for personal use. I have one going now putting my wife's recipes on it for fast finding, boy she sure has a lot. I put a logon so she is the only one that can access it.

I'm curious, if she doesn't want anyone to view the recipes, why not just put them on her computer? Why the web site?

I've been toying with the idea for a few years myself. My son, who just graduated college, has offered to set up a site in the near future. We'll see if he really has time.
Anyway, will be watching this thread for comments and ideas.
