Hi! I just picked up a Shop Smith ER model Power tool from a neighbor it came with the Jig Saw attachment Model A-34. The big horse shoe looking version. The only problem is the Flexiable Coupling P/N 134-20X is broken into two pieces. The rubber bushing is cracked. Any ideas on new parts for this old machine. Every thing else is in pretty good shape just need a good cleaning of the tubes and the bench top. All the other parts are okay so far. Haven't had a chance to use it. Thanks Michael

McMaster Carr has some flexible couplers that will work. I'll see if I can dig up the exact part numbers.

While searching, I found this at the 10ER Yahoo group:
I used a Lovejoy L050 with a 5/8" bore hubs (no keyway) and the
associated SOX spider. The three piece unit (2 hubs plus spider) fit perfect,
without need for any modification. You need two coupling hubs and one SOX
spider.
I got it all from www.use-enco.com. The part number for the hubs is
990-4047 ($1.97) and for the spider is 990-4042 ($1.30). Enco will sell in
small quantities, which is nice since I ran across several other vendors with
a $50 minimum.
You can also go to http://www.mcmaster.com and search for "spider couplings." You'll need two hubs and a solid spider (I don't think there is clearance for a split spider.)
