SS Mark VII - parts or whole?

I have a SS Mark VII with many of the attachments and it is in great working condition. Amazing. I have the belt sander, lathe, jointer, band saw, etc. I need to sell the unit since I am moving. Should I try to sell the parts off or sell the whole units and the parts? I am new to this forum and it appears that there might be a market for the parts.

The answer to what you are asking depends a lot on where you are located.

For example, if you were where I could reach you easily, I just might say sit tight, I'll be right over. But you did not say where you are located.

There is not much of a market for the Shopsmith Mark VII parts as they were made in the 60s and not that many were made. The plastic like parts broke over time and most Mark VIIs were trashed/junked as Shopsmith did not support the Mark VII in later years. If your Mark VII still operates, I would believe you should go with Craig's List or Ebay for the complete unit. The SPTs will sell well on Ebay so I would not list them with the Mark VII. Ebay is best for listing individual parts. Please contact me offline if you disassembly the headstock for parts as I collect Mark VII parts for my repair and rebuilding service.
