I recently upgraded a 510 to a 520 with parts from different sources. I have 2 extra floating tables, an extra fixed table and an extra set of extension legs. I had planned to sell these extra items but a friend of mine suggested I keep them to create more configuration options (like floating tables on both ends of the base to cut full sheets of plywood). I do have several older 520 rails (pre-magnetic strip) that would update the 510 tube rails. I guess I could also keep them to build up another Shopsmith -- Any advise on these idea -- anyone doing this double extension?

I'll bet you can also use them to build an in/out feed table.

If you do not have an two extension tables (fixed tables) I recommend that you upgrade the extension table. I really like having an extension table on
both ends.

I often employs four floating tables at the same time.

I would definitely recommend you keep all of the 520 rail components unless you have far more than you might ever use. In that case, contact me off line.

Yes, navycop make a very good point. Do not over look your need for inf eed and out feed tables.

Thanks so much for the advice. I am glad I asked the question in the forum. I will keep them.
