Anyone know where exactly I can find the video of Nick showing how he uses grit off sandpaper to keep glue-ups from sliding around?
And yes I did look but can't find it.

And yes I did look but can't find it.I am glad that Bob was able to find that for you: Some woodworkers have expressed concern that the sand Nick added to the glue could help dull saw blades and router bits prematurely. If this concerns you too, you could substitute ground walnut shells for the sand.:)

I can understand the concern over dulling due to hitting the grains of sand. But won't there must more dulling due to passing through all the hardened glue that surrounds the few grains of sand?

Perhaps(depends on how hard the glue has set). I do not think that procedure adds enough 'grits' to be concerned about. If you intend to do much cutting through an area, limit the 'grits' to someplace else.
This is probably Not a good idea if gluing for later 'turning'.
