On the Shopsmith website there were instructions to align your 500,510 and 520. Adjusting the main table vertical, horizontal and parallel to the blade.

I know Nick put better instructions somewhere here in forum but I couldn't find them right off so I went to the SS website to look up something and noticed the instructions were gone or at least so well hidden I couldn't find them.

I wonder if they are going to be replaced? Perhaps with Nick's method.

I hope someone from SS see this and let us know the status of those alignment instructions. Ihave the owners manual but I liked to refer to the instructions online plus they had the latest info. I would really like to see Nick's instructions formally written up and posted on line.

I agree; I believe the revised procedures (especially if accompanied by good photos) are much better than the "official procedure".

If you need what was on-line, I think I have it. I'll look (go hunting) and let you know.

I suspect that the postings to which you refer (Nicks' included) are in

Shopsmith Forums/Main Woodworking Forum/ General Woodworking and

were posted on 11/06/06 and are titled "Main Table Ribbing".

Let me know if this is not what you were thinking of and I'll look further.

The procedure is in a document called MKVAssemblyPt2. The procedure is on pages 29to36.

Dusty don't mean to be thick as a brick but where is MKVAssemblyPT2 found?

I know I saw that procedure on the Shopsmith site a while back but I can't find it anywhere, of course I usually manage to get lost in the Shopsmith Website. I don't know if it just me but I seems like I can never get to where I want to go right away I have to try this or try that before I find the right spot.

I have tried to find the thread called Main Table Ribbing. Could you possibly post a link?

Thanks,
