I found this link for "Buying a Used Shopsmith Mark V" but it no longer works. Did SS take it down? I would be really interested in getting a copy of this .pdf. Anyone have one?

Yes. I bought my 500 in 1978 and put a lot of hours on it: mostly furniture but some small projects and toys, too. I upgraded to 510 in 1991 and enjoy the larger table, sturdier rip fence, new style blade guard but if the upgrades weren't available, I'd still be a happy 500 user.
