There is a 10ER on craig's in Phoenix that I would love to buy. Unfortunately, I already have two SS's in the Garage and until the greenie goes my wife says there isn't room for another one.
The 10ER in question appears to be in very good shape, the seller seems motivated and the asking price is $150. It has factory legs with casters (worth around $75 on ebay), speed control ($100 - 200), appears to have an extra motor and the usual assembly of collected goodies.
My concern here is that someone will buy this fine old machine for $100 and part it out for $300 -$600. We all appreciate the supply of parts available on ebay when we are restoring an old SS but I hate to see another good viable machine being lost forever so someone can make a few bucks.
Someone needs to save this one and give her the good home she deserves.
No, I have no relationship whatsoever with the seller. I'm just alarmed by the trend I'm seeing on ebay.
