Once again the so-called consumer Price Index was in the neg numbers for 2009 meaning there will be no COLA increases for 2010.

So what does that mean? Of course no COLA throughout 2010 but what about the next calander year of 2011? Does anyone think come next January there will be a COLA increase?

If this is old news, Sorry for the post..

From http://www.socialsecurity.gov/OACT/COLA/latestCOLA.html

In general, a COLA is equal to the percentage increase in the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W) from the third quarter of one year to the third quarter of the next. If there is no increase, there is no COLA (http://www.socialsecurity.gov/OACT/COLA/positivecola.html).
