I just ordered some wooden axle pegs for a few toy cars. Minimum $6+ shipping. I decided to purchase 10 bags, a few years supply, just to make the shipping worthwhile. (Guess they won that one).
Just had a special key "mailed" to me, $8 shipping and handling. Envelope had one stamp!
I usually look for "no sales tax" or free shipping. Sometimes I win, sometimes I just bit the bullet.

Do not expect the sand cast iron to be as 'refined' as die cast aluminum

If it bothers you, do not get a 10e/r or an early greenie.
if you check my sig, you already know part of that. I am positively impressed with the quality of my 10ER. so much so that I want to take the time to do the clean-up right - like it deserves.

in terms of the banjo:
I expect avalanches into the mold when the stamp is removed to be cleaned before the metal is poured.

I expect milled-smooth surfaces to be smooth (and to not look like cheap sintering).

I expect match-drilled parts to line up with each other.

and I expect myself to have enough restraint to not hijack a thread this way.:o

lots of false expectations today.
