In another thread where we were discussing web site problems, heathicus mentioned that Shopsmith had more than just one or two associated domain names (150+ was suggested). This triggered some curiosity and I went searching.

I googled "whois" and found a place that implied that Shopsmith was associated with about 158 domain names. This furthered triggered my curiosity but they were asking for money ($20) to give me the complete list. NO WAY do I pay for this.

I then went searching for these freebees' and I think I might have found them. They have always been there but I did not associate them with domain names because I never realized that some of them are accessed via a xxx.com name.

Here is one that I have referred to often: http://www.shopsmith.com/academy/index.htm

There is a long list of links that appears to have grown significantly since the last time a browsed here. You can get there by clicking here (http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/links.htm) and browsing down through the list. Many are links to sites other than Shopsmith sites but they are all valuable links.

It is obvious that the webmaster has been very busy working in the back ground.

NOTE: If you go here looking for information, drill down into some of the references before you give up. Some of the detail is not right up top.

Those who are familiar with PTWFE will also recognize many of the entries as extracts from that book.

Dusty, not to sure when you sleep but I remember finding this before but did not remember until you showed it again. This time I saved it Thanks for taking the time and sharing. I see a lot of good information there to keep for later. To day is a good day I have a class at woodcraft and know I will learn something new and use in a project.

That habit has stuck with me.
