It's a real good brain exercise putting these thing back together even with the photos. The cam / shaft holes were originally drilled as a matching set so each cam only has one position where it's hole lines up with the shaft hole. With them disassembled, put the cam on the shaft and sight thru the hole to make sure they line up exactly then mark them with a marker. 'Dry fit' everything together before you insert any of the spring pins. Once you think you have it, again, make sure you mark everything. When you install the large shaft with the cams on it, don't install the pins in the cam until you've depressed the spring / lifter and slide the cam into position. You can do it!!!!

All the parts are the same with the exception of the end castings which are left/right.

The tie rods may need to be paired up with the castings since it appears (sometimes) they are not drilled consistantly on center????

Keep in mind you are making a left/right pair, but that difference is how they are assembled, not because of parts differences.(end castings excepted)

Do not overlook the desired cam action( half raise followed by full raise followed by full drop ).

All this having been said, stand by for my ??? regarding 10E caster set!!!

Your photo in one the Mark V threads you linked to above looked like cams holes were threaded.

Truth be told, YES! I had forgotten that they indeed are! Since I am currently messing with 10E vintage stuff, that 'detail' had 'slipped' my mind!

You can see the flat on the cam shaft and the set screw cup ring in the pix.

I do get it right. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Eventually!:D
