SS dust collector setup

I would like to use my DC3300 dust collector in my new shop as a central dust collector, meaning that i would like to use it on non SS tools such as the mitre saw, router table, etc. I would still want to use it on my SS at the same time. Has anyone tried to do this. How would you set it up? Do you use rigid tubing or hoses? Is the DC3300 powerful enough to be used as a central collector? Pictures would be very helpful.
