9856Well, you can see the special drive pulley on the motor shaft that drives the jointer. Nice looking machine, you found a real bargain. Enjoy it!

Congratulations! You have acquired a very rare animal. The model 10 has the 4E jointer headrest which is rarely seen(second one this week, only the third ever seen by me!). You appear to also have a model 4E jointer which mounts on that strange headrest. The jointer attaches to the bar on the headrest, and a belt connects the jointer pulley to the fourth(largest outer) pulley on the motor.
