If you need soIf you need something to do with your old golf balls here is a way to spend a couple of hours. This is the first one I have tried. I have a lot of practice ahead of me.

The last golf ball I cut open had a rubber band core.Maybe it was a driving range ball from back in my era. I don't think they use rubber banding anymore.

Since I have no drive and just putter around.

Your showing your age. That was what I thought until I saw a web posting on a wood carving forum and some carvers were carving golf balls. Depending on the ball you open up there are a number of different colors I guess most of them have a sold compound in them now. This one was a Titleist.
