And twice the price:eek: Does any one have experience with both for a comparison? My Finance Manager (Read Wife) usually wants good reasons to pay double for the same/similar item.
Tell her you believe in 'Buy American'! May or may not be true, but the one may help to assure continued support from the firm that supports the half century old machinery you are needing parts for, the other definitely does not! JMHO

I've read here that some of Pennstates products are questionable.

Well now this simply proves with no doubt my memory is faulty. I dug into my it didn't work drawer after checking receipts and learning that in fact I had purchased one of the Shopsmith version, in that drawer I have Shopsmith's version with a note in the bag indicating that part did not work out well for me. I have no idea why and it is seldom I have purchased anything from Shopsmith that fell short of expectation. I will not speak for others but will say the later version purchaed from Penn State has served me without issue. Fjimp:confused:
