Scott,
Nice work. Is the right side really angled or is it an optical illusion of the camera? I can't let my wife see that. She'll start expecting that kind of work from me. :)

Bruce

P.S. Oops! I saw your post about distortion after replying above. Sorry.

That is really nice work, scott. I know you must be very pleased.

Does this mean you now have a house full of furnirure to complete?

Scott,
That really looks nice, I am curious like Bruce, I hope it is the canera playing tricks, don't think I would want to tackle a job like that if not.
Great job either way and thanks for the pics!

Thanks for the comments. The picture is distorted. I had to change the pix to 800x600 and it didn't come out quite right. One thing to add the drawers are all sliding dovetail joints and I ended up buying a rail and style bit for the router to make the door. It was a fun project but now the wife want all new bedroom furniture (bed and nightstands). I built the armoire out of elm. It wasn't quite as stable as oak but it has nice grains and the price was right ($2.00 a bf). One thing when I do a project that is that big it takes up a lot of room in the shop. So I built a cart on wheels that I could set it on so I could move it outside anytime I wanted. You guys probrably already know but there is no limit to what you can build with a shopsmith.

I agree, Scott. There is a limit. I wouldn't try to build a "timber frame" with just my Shopsmith. But what else can we not do?;)
