I am currently unable to connect to the ssug site. I get a screen that says the account is suspended. Anyone have any information/

I have gotten the same message. I suspect that funds are low and they owe the web fee. This happens every now and then.

Another thing to remember - SSUG does not have a sponsor; they operate on donations made by the members. If you are interested in donating, so that they can remain in service - they accept donations. I make mine via PayPal.

Sounds familiar, my Power Pro upgrade fund is running low and also has no sponsor. That fund accepts donations and donations may be made via Paypal to email below.

LOL!!!! Thats too much.

I have never been involved with the SSUG web site but would it not be a benefit for all to now join this Shopsmith group here?

IIRC, when this happened a few months ago, they had a database problem that took them a while to fix. my impression at the time when it came back up was that the problem had used a lot of bandwidth and their account has a monthly cap, but that is just my interpretation/speculation.

I checked this morning and got a screen that said: THIS .COM DOMAIN IS FOR SALE. Price: $995.00.

It appears that they don't have the funds to keep the website up and running.

If the provider they use works on the calendar month, the site might be back up on Sunday, 8/1. I will just have to give it a try tomorrow. Thanks.

To be honest, I've never tried the SSUG; I find plenty to keep me intered in this group. I really think the collective knowledge on this site is the best due to the activity of everbody's contributions. Keep it up guys (and gals)!

I find vBulletin here a lot easier to follow and navigate than the SSUG site. It is also a lot nicer to be able to post pertinent attachments/pictures with your messages. Besides, it seems to me that most members who have a lot to say over there are also saying it over here.
